Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Praxtor Digital Ltd. (“Zavie”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Zavie app and website at zavie.app (the “Service”).

Who we are (Data Controller)

Praxtor Digital Ltd.
Registered in England & Wales, company no. 17017982

We act as the “data controller” for your personal data. This policy is based on the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and is written to respect applicable data-protection laws in the countries where our users live (including Vietnam’s PDPD and Thailand’s PDPA). Local law may give you additional rights.

1. Who can use Zavie

Zavie is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to create an account or use the Service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

2. What data we collect

Account & sign-inYour email address (used for one-time-code login).
ProfileName, nickname, nationality (which you can hide), date of birth / age, short bio, Instagram handle, and any profile or gallery photos you upload.
Activity & contentPlans you host or join, group-chat messages, check-in/attendance status, and photos you share within a plan.
Safety & moderationReports you file or that concern you, and moderation outcomes (e.g. warnings, suspensions, bans).
Usage & analyticsHow you use the app, collected via Google Analytics 4 (see Cookies below), including device/browser type and approximate location derived from your IP address.
TechnicalIP address and technical logs generated when you connect, processed by our hosting providers.

3. How we use your data

4. Legal bases

Where UK/EU data-protection law applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you sign up for); your consent (for analytics cookies, which you can decline); legitimate interests (to keep Zavie safe, secure, and functional); and legal obligation (where the law requires it).

5. Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

Google Analytics is provided by Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers (“processors”) that help us run Zavie, under contracts that require them to protect it:

SupabaseDatabase, authentication, and file storage (your account, profile, plans, messages, and photos).
CloudflareWebsite hosting and content delivery (serves the app; processes connection data).
Google AnalyticsUsage analytics (with your consent).
ResendSending your one-time login-code emails.

We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the safety of our users.

7. International transfers

Zavie operates globally, so your data may be processed on servers outside your country, including outside the UK/EU. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data while your account is active.

When you delete your account in Settings, your profile is hidden immediately and you can no longer join plans. You also leave any upcoming plans you had joined, which frees up your place for someone else, and any upcoming plans you were hosting are cancelled — the people who joined them are notified.

Your personal data is not erased yet: for 30 days the account is only scheduled for deletion, and signing in during that period restores it. Restoring reopens the account, but it does not undo those plan changes — plans you left or cancelled do not come back, and you would need to join again. If you do nothing, the deletion runs automatically after 30 days and cannot be undone.

At that point we delete your profile, your name, your photos, your bio, your contact details, your date of birth and your sign-in record — including your email address — along with your saved connections, notification preferences and viewing history.

We anonymise rather than erase the things other people are part of: your chat messages, your plan participations, the plans you hosted and the Nights photos you published stay in place so other travelers' conversations and history are not broken, but the link to you is removed and cannot be restored. Upcoming plans you were hosting are cancelled and the people who joined them are notified.

We keep reports and moderation records, which we must retain to comply with the law, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and protect other users — for example, records of serious safety violations.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. You can update most of your information, or delete your account, directly in the app’s Settings. To exercise any other right, email us at [email protected].

If you are in the UK and are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). If you are elsewhere, you may have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Photos & other people’s data

If you upload photos, please only share images you have the right to share. Anyone appearing in a photo can ask for it to be removed, and reported photos may be taken down without prior notice.

Nights (published plan photos). After a plan, its host can publish a small number of photos from the plan chat (or upload their own) to Nights. Once published, these photos are public: they appear in the city view of Nights and can be seen by anyone using Zavie, including people who were not on the plan, and by signed-out visitors. Photos that are not published stay in the plan chat and are not shown in Nights. Anyone who appears in a published photo can remove themselves from it at any time — the photo is hidden immediately, no reason is required, and the host is told a photo was removed but not who removed it. Anyone can also report a published photo for a moderator to review. We also count how many times a plan has been viewed; this count is only shown once it passes a threshold and is never tied to individual viewers publicly.

11. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to respond promptly to any incident.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
